Thank you for providing feedback. The consultation period has now closed. An engagement summary will be shared when staff present the updated Accessibility Action Plan to council in fall 2022.
The development of the Accessibility Action Plan (the Action Plan) will help to advance the Resort Municipality of Whistler's (RMOW) efforts to make its workplace, services, and the built environment accessible and welcoming to everyone.
At this time, draft actions (the core content of the Action Plan) are being presented for community feedback.
The actions will be pursued as resources permit and as opportunities arise and will be adjusted as new information becomes available. Whether they become resourced and implemented will be determined annually through the RMOW’s financial planning process, which results in the Five-year Financial Plan.
The actions are grouped by these eight focus areas:
- Staff Training
- Assessments of Facilities and Services
- Service Design and Delivery
- Built Environment
- Employment
- Communications and Engagement
- Transportation
- Procurement
