How to provide input prior to the Public Hearing

All persons who believe that their interest in property is affected by the proposed bylaw will be given an opportunity to provide written and verbal comments that will be considered by Council as follows:

  • Submit written comments to Council via email: corporate@whistler.ca (must be received by 12:00 p.m. on February 10, 2026) (include “Zoning Amendment Bylaw (School Use) No. 2503, 2026 ” in the subject line, address the comments to “Mayor and Council”, and include your name and mailing address in the email); and/or
  • Submit written comments to Council via hand delivery: Resort Municipality of Whistler, Legislative Services Department – Corporate Officer, 4325 Blackcomb Way, Whistler BC V8E 0X5 (must be received by 12:00 p.m. on February 10, 2026) (include “Zoning Amendment Bylaw (School Use) No. 2503, 2026 ” in the subject line, address the comments to “Mayor and Council”, and include your name and mailing address in the letter); and/or
  • Provide verbal comments at the Public Hearing via online video or phone conferencing.

After the conclusion of this Public Hearing, Council cannot receive further input from the public on the proposed Bylaws.

Late Public Hearing Package

Purpose

The purpose of the proposed bylaw is to add school and auxiliary daycare uses as permitted uses on a portion of land within the existing RS-E2 (Residential Single Estate Two) Zone, and to permit a subdivision to create a separate legal title for the portion of land where only a school and auxiliary daycare would be permitted.
