As a resort municipality, we receive Municipal & Regional Destination Tax (or ‘hotel tax’) and Resort Municipality Initiative Funding from the Province of BC to help fund the services and amenities we provide to our resort visitors, and often we enjoy as community members.

These funds help deliver our world-class animation and events such as our summer concert series and New Years Eve celebration, and many of the visitor amenities that keep our community vibrant and beautiful so we can continue to provide unforgettable experiences to our guests.
