Works and Services Bylaw survey

Provide your input and insights by taking the Works and Services Bylaw update questionnaire. Open until October 14.

The Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) is undertaking a comprehensive update of its Works and Services (W&S) Bylaws to ensure that our community’s infrastructure keeps pace with current and future needs. An updated W&S Bylaw will replace RMOW’s current suite of five bylaws, which has not been updated since 2000. The proposed fee structure for residential, commercial, and industrial development is in step with comparable communities and will ensure that new developments contribute appropriately to the infrastructure they require, helping to relieve the financial burden on existing taxpayers and promote fairness across the community.

This updated W&S Bylaw will replace the current suite of five individual bylaws: BYL001503 (Water), BYL001504 (Sewer), BYL1505 (Transportation), BYL001506 (Recreation), and CBYL001507 (Employee Housing). The legislative authority for this update comes from the Resort Municipality of Whistler Act, as well as recent provincial changes under Bill 46 – Housing Statutes (Development Finance) Amendment Act, 2023.

Take the survey to help shape the Bylaw before October 14.
